Paper Plane is an adventure
story, set amongst the dust bowl train
tracks and barnstorming exhibitions of the
Great Depression, about a young boy
hopping freight trains in the American
midwest. Andrew Lynch's original music
runs seamlessly from stunning melodic
expressions a la Rufus Wainwright or Paul
McCartney, to tight a cappella harmonies.
Utilizing shadow puppetry, contemporary
trateau technique, and an unpredictable
sense of scale and perspective, along with
Writer-Collaborator and acclaimed
Playwright Nick Ryan, and a skillful and
inventive cast of performer-creators,
Jonas Goslow, John Egan, and Elizabeth
Stahlmann, Paper Plane promises to be the
stealth hit of the springtime.

Record is
an evening-length dance work
that conjures the space of a
distant memory in live
performance, allowing the
phantoms of that memory to
be felt in the present
space, right here, right
now. Adrienne Westwood
(choreography and
conception) is collaborating
with Emmy nominee Seth
Easter (design), Jim Briggs
III (sound), and seven
dancers. The creators
and performers employ
perspective, framing, time
and shadow with the use of
live-feed video, miniatures,
a record player, old family
photographs, and directional
audio design to flesh out
the texture of memory
itself.
OneArmRed
began
in
D.U.M.B.O Brooklyn, in 1999. Founder and
Artistic Director Adam Adams' mission is to
develop interdisciplinary collaboration in the
performing arts. One Arm Red's three
multi-purpose spaces on the 9th floor at 10
Jay Street offer a home for artists and
producing companies to develop & present
new works for the theatre.
